Valentines Eve batch of hearts!

Lots and lots of people have been busy making Valentine hearts! Here are some more that have been posted on my Facebook page this past week.

Paul St George made this heart-shaped tea-light holder with a wood-burned rose for his wife. It kind of reminds me of my project this week!

Jason Weigles heart-in-a-heart display is made with white oak, African Mahogany, and walnut. He is going to finish it off with with a little plaque plate commemorating his wedding anniversary.

Sam Bittinger and his daughter worked together to make this tea-light holder.

I absolutely love Mitt Lilla Snickeris unique Yin and Yang heart. (There seems to be a tea-light theme running through this projects!)

And Im happy to show off Lance Briggs version of the heart-shaped bandwaw box I made last week.

Really cool scroll work on Błażej Wudniaks tea-light holder.

GOLD VALENTINES gold chest reveal

There is something special about my new project that has

got me rather smitten with it, and here we are on Valentines Day.

I have a busy day ahead of me and not much time to write

but I wanted to share these photos with you.

You should see it in person it really is amazing, I keep reaching out and touching it.

Here is what it looked like before I started to work on it, you may not be able to tell but its gold.

I did a funky finish using the gold and I added long legs all the way around.

I used some great over sized hardware and added some perfectly placed wood appliques.

I even had to do some rebuilding to get the legs attached right.

And on this Valentines Day I dont mean to break your hearts but this pieces is staying with me.

But that means something else must go so keep watching ...

Happy Valentines day!

Happy Valentines Day! Heres a little peak of the project that I did for Kristen Duke Photography February series, decorating with portraits. Check back Saturday at Kristens for the full post!

We keep it pretty simple for Valentines day, just a nice meal at home and maybe a small gift or two. Maybe Ill get around to decorating next year :)
